A video display apparatus is provided to output audio signals of a main screen and a sub screen receiving different channels at the same time by using a demultifplexer, audio decoders, and an audio signal transmitting unit. A video display apparatus comprises a demultiplexer(210), video decoders(220a,220b), audio decoders(230a,230b), and an audio signal transmitting unit(240). The demultiplexer receives broadcasting signals or external input signals having a video signal and an audio signal and divides channels for the main screen and a sub screen. The video decoder decodes a video signal from the signals in which channels are divided by the demultiplexer. The audio decoder decodes an audio signal from the signals in which channels are divided by the demultiplexer. The audio signal transmitting unit outputs the audio signals decoded by the audio decoders respectively corresponding to the main screen and the sub screen. |
