METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING CONTROL INFORMATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for transmitting control information in a wireless communication system is provided to decrease the number of bits according to transmission of the control information and request no lookup table, thereby simplifying the structure of a signal receiver. Physical indexes are mapped to logical indexes(S110). Herein, the physical indexes represent indexes, which a base station or a mobile station uses actually. The logical indexes are logical values to which the physical indexes are mapped. The logical indexes are grouped into a plurality of levels so that a plurality of logical indexes make a large group of indexes. An upper-level index includes one or more lower-level indexes. A corresponding level and indexes of the corresponding level are transmitted(S130). Since the upper-level index includes one or more lower-level indexes, it makes no difference whether to transmit the upper-level index or a plurality of lower-level indexes.
