A sound absorbing member is provided to obtain high sound absorbing performance in a low frequency region and a center frequency region by including a wedge part, a bowl part, and an air layer. A sound absorbing member comprises a wedge part(210), a bowl part(220), and an air layer(230). The wedge part has a wedge shape, of which a sectional area decreases in one direction. The bowl part is formed at one end of the wedge part, which has a smaller sectional area. The air layer is formed by separating the other end of the wedge part, which has a larger sectional area, from a wall. The shape of the sound absorbing member is derived by a phase optimized method based on a Biot formula.
