A color filter of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to add cyan, magenta and yellow colors to RGB colors by respectively disposing plural sub pixels configuring one pixel in different matrixes and the same matrix, thereby forming a hexagon of six colors and accordingly implementing color reproduction characteristics near to natural colors. A color filter of an LCD comprises a color filter substrate and plural pixels(200) configured in a matrix on the color filter substrate. Each of the plural pixels is configured with a first couple, a second couple and a third couple. The first couple is configured with first RGB(Red, Green and Blue) sub pixels(203a,205a,207a), a second red sub pixel(203b) and a third green sub pixel(205c). The second couple is configured with a second green sub pixel(205b) and a third blue sub pixel(207c). The third couple is configured with a second blue sub pixel(207b) and a third red sub pixel.
