<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce measuring errors of an optical measurement unit and an optical measurement method using it. <P>SOLUTION: The optical measurement unit 1 used for an optical type measuring apparatus has a plurality of contact sensing parts 30 on a cabinet 3 which becomes in close contact with a site 25 to be measured and the contact sensing parts are brought into contact with the site to be measured. When the site to be measured is elastic and deflectable like a skin of a living body, though slightly inclined, the optical measurement unit can keep all of the contact sensing parts in contact with the site to be measured. The positions and angles of a light emitting part 11 and a photodetecting part 12 and the height H of the contact sensing parts of the optical measurement unit are properly set to be held within an allowable range of measuring variations when measurement is conducted with all of the contact sensing parts made to contact the site to be measured. This enables a measuring person to sense or visually recognize the contact between all of the contact sensing parts and the site to be measured and can confirm that those are within the allowable range of measuring variations, thereby making the optical measurement unit and the optical measurement method applicable for reducing the measuring errors requiring no contact sensor or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
