<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of performing speedy initial alignment transition in an OCB mode with a low voltage. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 100 according to the present invention has a pair of substrates 10 and 20 between which a liquid crystal layer 50 is sandwiched and changes the alignment state of the liquid crystal layer 50 from spray alignment to bent alignment to provide display, the electrooptical device having wiring 3a provided on the substrate 10 on the side of the liquid crystal layer 50, a switching element 13 electrically connected to the wiring 3a, insulating films 41 and 12 covering the wiring 3a and switching element 13, a pixel electrode 15 provided on the insulating films 41 and 12, a through hole 30 bored in the insulating films 41 and 12 where the through hole overlaps with the wiring 3a in plane and does not overlap with the pixel electrode 15 in plane, and a conductive member 70 provided in the through hole 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
