PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature sensor which can withstand a high temperature and a large variation in temperature that normally may cause damage, degrade performance or disable the temperature sensor, is highly cost-effective, more durable and more reliable. SOLUTION: The temperature sensor (10) includes a probe section (12) inserted into a hot zone (14). The probe section (12) includes a thermistor (26), a first long pin (28) having one end extending to the thermistor, and a second long pin (30) having one end also extending to the thermistor. A housing section (20) is located at one of ends of the probe section (12) and outside the hot zone (14). The housing section (20) includes a first spring (34) for biasing the first pin (28) to bring it into contact with the thermistor (26), a second spring (36) for biasing the second pin (30) to bring it into contact with the thermistor (26), a first electrical contact engaged with the first spring (34), and a second electrical contact engaged with the second spring (36).
