PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized magnetic sensor having magnetic isotropy in order to suppress anisotropy of detection sensitivity. SOLUTION: The magnetic sensor using a spin valve type magnetoresistance effect element formed by laminating two ferromagnetic films through a non-magnetic intermediate layer has characteristics wherein the shape of the magnetoresistance effect element is a shape of a plurality of linked rings, and each ring is conducted in the electrically connected state, and the electric resistance of the magnetresistance effect element is changed to an external magnetic field.
