PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a yoke for universal joint with good accuracy while securing the strength. SOLUTION: The yoke for universal joint is formed by carrying out; a cold-forging process, in which a round bar base material is formed into a cold-forged formed product 35, shaped into a plate with level difference, having a base part 32 at the center part and a pair of arm parts 33 extending from the base part 32 symmetrically outwards, wherein at least the thickness of a boundary part between the base part 32 and the pair of arm parts 33 is made to be thicker than the arm part 33: and a plate-forming process, in which a pair of the arm parts 33 having a shape of a plate with level difference, formed in the cold-forging process, are bent so as to face each other.
