PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress discharge between electrode membranes in a constitution wherein an electrode to supply potential to an anode has a plurality of electrode membranes, and realize a constitution that resistance of the electrode to supply the potential to the anode can be suitably set. SOLUTION: A front face substrate of a display device has a plurality of phosphor layer (not shown), a metal back 24 divided into a plurality of regions 24a to cover the plurality of the phosphor layers, and a common electrode 20 to apply an anode potential to the metal back 24. The common electrode 20 includes two neighboring electrode membranes 21. In one electrode membrane 21 in the two adjacent electrode membranes 21, the length of a part opposing to the other electrode membrane 21 is larger than the length of the one electrode membrane 21, in a direction that is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the common electrode 20.
