PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the image quality of a printing image of an upstream end or a downstream end of a medium. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector is equipped with both nozzles which eject the liquid towards the medium while moving back and forth relatively to the medium, and a controller. The controller forms first patterns 80A-80F on the medium by the liquid ejected from the nozzles by a timing delayed by a predetermined width from a criterial timing while the nozzles move in one direction to the medium. The controller forms second patterns 82A-80F on the medium by the liquid ejected from the nozzles by a timing delayed by the same width as the predetermined width from a criterial timing when the nozzles move in a direction reverse to the one direction to the medium.
