<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently reduce the influence of clad mode light. <P>SOLUTION: The optical component 1 includes an optical fiber 2 and a glass tube 3 which has a through hole between one end 3a and the other end 3b and in which a blank fiber part 2b is inserted into the through-hole. The light refractive index of the glass tube 3 and the light refractive index of the clad 5 of the optical fiber 2 for amplification are substantially equal to each other, and the inner peripheral face 7 of the through hole is fused to the clad 5 on the one end 3a side. Thus, the clad mode light is propagated to the glass tube 3 via the inner peripheral face 7 on the one end 3a side fused to the clad 5 and further emitted out through the glass tube 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
