PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely perform quantitative sampling of blood. SOLUTION: This blood quantity determiner is equipped with a rod 2 having a through hole 21 opening in its lateral circumferential surface to hold blood therein by a capillary phenomenon, and a scrape-off member 3 having an insertion hole 31 of the same diameter as the rod 2 to support the rod 2 so as to allow it to slide. When sliding the rod 2 relative to the scrape-off member 3, the scrape-off member 3 scrapes off blood existing outside the through hole 21 of the rod 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
