<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately push an ink cartridge out of a cartridge holder when detaching the ink cartridge therefrom. <P>SOLUTION: This ink supply mechanism 71 comprises a pressurizing mechanism 74 that presses a supply valves 123U, 123L against an ink cartridge 12 by an urging force of supply valve urging springs 124U, 124L to supply air into the ink cartridge 12 via air supply channels 125U, 125L, and an ink derivation mechanism 110 that inserts delivation needles 111U, 111L to flow-out holes 159U, 159L of the ink cartridge 12 and leads the ink via holes 112U, 112L. When the ink cartridge 12 is detached from the cartridge holder 13, the supply valve 123U is separated from the ink cartridge 12 to allow the air supply channels 125U, 125L to be opened to the atmospheric air before the opening sections 113U, 113L of the delivation needles 111U, 111L are exposed from seal members 116U, 116L and the supply valve 123L is separated from the ink cartridge 12, and then the fitting of the delivation needles 111U, 111L with the seal members 116U, 116L is released. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
