<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hose joint for improving the come-off resistance and sealing performance of a rubber hose to be fixed thereto without requiring a longer working time when forming gripping protrusions on the inner peripheral face of a socket. <P>SOLUTION: The plurality of gripping protrusions 5 annularly formed on the inner peripheral face of the socket 4 are provided at spaces in the direction of the cylindrical shaft with the same protruding height H. A protruding portion 4a is provided on the side of the first protrusion 5a by forming a step between the first protrusion 5a and the second protrusion 5b on the outer peripheral face of the socket 4. When the socket 4 is caulked, the first protrusion 5a formed on the inner periphery side of the protruding portion 4a is bitten more deeply into the end of the rubber hose inserted between a nipple 2 and the socket 4 than the other protrusions 5b, 5c, 5d to grip a reinforcing layer of the rubber hose with the first protrusion 5a and the nipple 2.
