<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting unit, along with a surface light-emitting device, with which fitting operation of a light source is easy and capable of changing a light emitting area at will to sufficiently suppress occurrence of uneven light emission. <P>SOLUTION: A surface light-emitting device 10 comprises a plurality of light source modules 12, and a fitting unit 11 comprising a plurality of fitting members 110 having a plurality of engaged parts 112 with which the light source modules 12 are detachably engaged as well as a plurality of connection parts 113 for detachably connecting, for each light source module 12, the plurality of fitting members 110 arrayed in two dimension.
