PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk changer having a side A and side B recording and reproducing device using a sheet-like optical disk without a disk reverse mechanism. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with; a cartridge 23 which stores a plurality of sheet-like optical disks 5 each contained in a tray 1; an side-A recording and reproducing device in which a side-A recording and reproducing mechanism 25 is arranged above a tray withdrawal mechanism 35, and a float stabilizing disk 32 and a cap 36 are arranged below; and a side-B recording and reproducing device in which a side-B recording and reproducing mechanism 45 is arranged below a tray withdrawal mechanism 55, and a float stabilizing disk 52, a cap 56 and an electromagnet 57 are arranged above. After pulling out the tray 1, the side-A recording and reproducing device holds the optical disk 5 with the cap 36 and retracts it temporarily in a clamp part 31. The side-B recording and reproducing device holds and retracts it with an electromagnet 57 and an attraction ring 63, secures a moving path of the tray withdrawal mechanisms 35 and 55, and returns the tray 1 to the cartridge 23.
