PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a photosensitive layer containing at least an electron transporting agent, a charge generating agent and a binder resin on a conductive substrate, wherein the electron transporting agent is a compound expressed by general formula (1). In general formula (1), R represents a 1-6C straight-chain or branched alkyl group, a 6-20C aryl group having a 1-6C straight-chain or branched alkyl group as a substituent, a 6-20C aralkyl group, a 3-10C cycloalkyl group or a 1-6C straight-chain or branched alkoxy group.
