PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical scanning apparatus which enables miniaturization in comparison with the case where adjusting members for adjusting a plurality of optical components and the like for which adjustments of postures are necessary, are not overlapped, and to obtain an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: Positions of reflective mirrors 116Y-116K are adjusted and fixed on a side wall 102G. Then, a single laser beam array 108K is emitted, and while a detecting substrate 130 is moved in the arrow mark H direction, the position of the detecting substrate 130 is adjusted. In this case, as the detecting substrate 130 and brackets 111C and 111K are overlapped and arranged, the detecting substrate 130 and the brackets 111C and 111K do not interfere each other. Therefore, even when the optical scanning apparatus 100 is miniaturized, it is unnecessary to change the sizes of respective adjusting members, and workability of adjustments is kept.
