The method involves measuring the position of a vehicle body shell (1) after fixing holding devices (2,3). The vehicle body shell is held at the receiving points of holding devices. The difference of value between the actual position and target position of the vehicle body shell is metrologically determined. An independent claim is also included for a device for execution of vehicle body shell adjustment method.
