摘要 <p>[PROBLEMS] To provide a magnetic detector in which an output waveform is stabilized and the detection precision can be enhanced as compared with the prior art. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] Magnetoresistive effect elements (24a-24h) have a laminate structure where a fixed magnetic layer having the direction of magnetization fixed in one direction, and a free magnetic layer having magnetization varying with respect to the external magnetic field are laminated through a nonmagnetic material layer. Assuming the distance between the centers of N pole and S pole of a permanent magnet (21) is ?, the magnetoresistive effect elements being connected in series are arranged while spaced apart by the distance between the centers of ? in a direction parallel with the direction of relative movement. The interface S between respective layers in the laminate structure of each magnetoresistive effect element intersects the opposing surface (21a) of the permanent magnet (21) perpendicularly and faces the direction of relative movement. Magnetization direction (31a) of the fixed magnetic layer (31) in each magnetoresistive effect element faces the direction intersecting the direction of relative movement perpendicularly in a plane parallel with the interface S.</p>
