OPTIONAL TOMOGRAPHIC IMAGE GENERATING APPARATUS AND METHOD, AND DATA PROCESSING DEVICE FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an optional tomographic image of a subject at high speed in relation to the technology for generating optional tomographic image data by composing tomographic images of the subject. SOLUTION: An easy stereoscopic image 40 of the subject 120 expressed at low resolution is generated by using a part of a plurality of X-ray projection image data obtained from the X-ray projection in different directions, and the generated easy stereoscopic image 40 is displayed on a display part. A user specifies reference points 44-46 for specifying an optional tomographic face in the displayed easy stereoscopic image 40 of the resolution. Then, optional tomographic image data of the subject 120 at high resolution on the tomographic face specified as a plane passing these reference points 44-46 are generated. As the stereoscopic image for specifying the tomographic face are generated at low resolution, the quantity of information necessary for generating the image is small, so that the data can be processed at high speed.
