PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device capable of displaying related information together with a video and an image without previously generating nor editing the information, electronic equipment, a reproducing method, and a program. SOLUTION: The reproducing device 1 acquires a related content associated with a video or an image to be reproduced, extracts part of the acquired related content as related information to be displayed, and displays the extracted related information to be displayed by a display device 30 together with the video or the image to be displayed.
