PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that can suppress misdetection of a moving body other than a human body as a human body and improve reliability of the human detection. SOLUTION: The imaging device A is connected to a door intercom master unit B, and includes an imaging means 10, an outline extracting means 12a of extracting an outline from an image picked up by the imaging means 10, a moving outline extracting means 12b of extracting the outline of a moving body from the outline extracted by the outline extracting means 12a, a moving area extracting means 12c of detecting a moving area comprising a rectangular area circumscribed with the outline of the moving body extracted by the moving outline extracting means 12b, a human body detecting means 12e, and a transmitting means 15. The human body detecting means 12e tracks the moving area between a plurality of images which are successive in time-series order, calculates the movement distance of the tracked moving area from the plurality of images, and makes a human detection decision on the moving area as a human body when the movement distance is larger than a predetermined distance.
