PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive configured to display a time specified beforehand from reproduction time and an image to be reproduced at the time together and allowing a user to perform time search playback from a desired scene. SOLUTION: A controller 6 instructs an OSD (On Screen Display) processing part 8 to generate and output an OSD display signal showing a time of reproduction progress information currently recorded on a storage part 11 and the image corresponding to the reproduction progress information. Thereby, in a television 101, a time selection screen as shown in the Fig. 7 is displayed. While viewing the selection screen of the Fig. 7, the user selects and inputs one time from a time list with a selection key. In this case, since corresponding image is displayed for every time, the user can selectively input the time to reproduce the desired scene. The controller 6 instructs a PU head 2 to reproduce from the time which is selectively input. Thereby, the user can perform time search playback from the desired scene. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
