<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet relaying method and device reducing congestion of switching processing even when segment data are concentrated. <P>SOLUTION: Segment data dividing parts 12_1, 12_10 and 12_20 respectively extract a destination address (destination card IDD_ID="7") and packet length from received packets PD-A to PD-C, divide the packets PD-A to PD-C into data of predetermined length DT-A1 to DT-A3, DT-B1 to DT-B2, and DT-C on the basis of each packet length, and generate position information POS showing a position in the packets PD-A to PD-C of the respective data DT-A1 to DT-C. Segment headers SH-A1 to SH-C with their own addresses "1", "10" and "20" respectively set as each position information POS, a destination address D_ID and a transmission source address (transmission source card IDS_ID) are attached to the respective data DT-A1 to DT-C to generate segment data SD-A1 to SD-C, which are parallelly given to switches 21_1 to 21_3, 21_Y to 21_Y+1, and 21_Z in a switch card 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
