<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device and an operation control method of a refrigerating machine capable of properly selecting an operating state of the refrigerating machine depending on the situation. <P>SOLUTION: A calculation means 21 gives a result of calculation of efficiency to load heating quantity by every combination pattern of the refrigerating device to be operated. A selecting means 22 selects the pattern of the maximum efficiency in load heat quantity at that time calculated by the calculating means 21, from the combination patterns in real time.
