PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a character string relating to the information of alarm acquired from a controller in list display without dividing it into independent display regions. SOLUTION: When data stored in a device memory 13a of a PLC 13 are turned to a state of showing the generation of alarm, a character string display processing part 81 displays a character string (message) associated with alarm at an alarm display on a user picture displayed on a display 2 of a programmable display unit 1. The character string display processing part 81 judges whether or not the number of characters of the character string exceeds the preliminarily set specific number of display characters, and when it exceeds, performs the scroll display of the character string.
