摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein although conventional image device can correct a color shift between devices, but is insufficient to operate obtaining of image generation which is adapted to human visual sensation characteristics, such as lightness adaptation time and darkness adaptation time. SOLUTION: A white balance adjustment value calculating unit 14 finds a white balance adjustment value, corresponding to an average luminance of an input image signal, calculated by an average luminance calculating unit 11 based on the characteristics of a white balance adjustment value, associated with the primary colors for luminances from dark-place vision to light-place vision that is obtained from a first value for a luminance of the image signal of dark-place vision of the three primary colors and a predetermined second value for the luminance of an image signal of light-place vision of the three primary colors, corresponding to ratios represented by (light-place vision standard ratio luminosity factor)/(dark-place vision standard ratio luminosity factor) for the respective primary color light beams, and then calculates the white balance value obtained, by correcting the variation time needed to obtain the former white balance adjustment value, based on the quantity of variation in average luminance obtained by a time variation quantity calculating unit 13 and the lightness adaptation time and darkness adaptation time.
