PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner excellent in low temperature fixing property, environmental stability, development durability and contamination prevention on a device member, and capable of forming a toner image of high image quality. SOLUTION: The toner comprises inorganic fine powder and toner particles containing a binder resin, wax and a colorant, and is characterized in that: the binder resin is a styrene-based resin; and in the measurement of wettability of the toner with a mixture solvent of methanol and water at 25°C in terms of the transmittance for light at a wavelength of 780 nm, the methanol concentration at the transmittance of 80% is denoted as D<SB>25</SB>vol%, and in the measurement of wettability of the toner with a mixture solvent of methanol and water at 40°C in terms of the transmittance for light at a wavelength of 780 nm, the methanol concentration at the transmittance of 80% is denoted by D<SB>40</SB>vol%, satisfying 0.01≤D<SB>25</SB>-D<SB>40</SB>≤3.00 and 1.00≤D<SB>25</SB>≤60.00.
