PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking waveform processing method and a walking waveform processing apparatus capable of precisely carrying out walking detection. SOLUTION: The amplitude peak of set one polarity of positive and negative polarities based on a DC ingredient is searched from the electric field displacement in a frequency band not more than 20 [Hz] formed around a human body, and a maximum amplitude peak having the same polarity as that of the amplitude peak in a predetermined time width making the searched amplitude peak a center is detected as the amplitude peak generated in an idle leg period.
