<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide virus diagnostic software or anti-virus software through infrared data communication from a mobile phone even when an apparatus to be diagnosed cannot be connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: In the virus diagnostic system using mobile phone, the mobile phone is provided with a section for requesting virus diagnostic software transmission through the network, and a section for transmitting the received virus diagnostic software to the apparatus to be diagnosed through an infrared interface.
