<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon fiber composite material in which carbon nanofibers are dispersed uniformly. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing the carbon fiber composite material comprises a process (a) of preparing a liquid elastomer by masticating an elastomer (30) to degrade a molecular weight of the elastomer, a process (b) of preparing a mixture by mixing the elastomer prepared by the process (a) with carbon nanofibers having an average diameter of 0.5-500 nm, a process (c) of preparing a mixture of a rubbery elastomer by increasing a molecular weight of the elastomer in the mixture prepared by the process (b), and a process (d) of preparing the carbon fiber composite material by compounding the mixture of the rubbery elastic bodies, to disperse the carbon nanofibers into the elastomer with shearing force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
