<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply control of a printer, which enables a user to set particularly a detailed power off control condition according to user's equipment working environment and at a user's desire, and thereby also enables the user to easily carries out automatic power interruption without forcing the user to bear a large burden. <P>SOLUTION: A power off command is sent from an external server 110 to a printer together with print job data when the power supply of the printer is interrupted from the external server 110 operating as a host apparatus.
