<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR control device for an engine, capable of controlling an exhaust circulation quantity with favorable precision, even with an engine having a particulate filter. <P>SOLUTION: When forced regeneration of the particulate filter 34 is not being executed, correction coefficient Kc to charging efficiency is set in accordance with a result of comparison of exhaust pressure with reference exhaust pressure as exhaust pressure in a reference state where no particulates are accumulated on the particulate filter 34. The charging efficiency determined in accordance with operation states of the engine 1 is corrected by the correction coefficient Kc to determine corrected charging efficiency. Theoretical air feed quantity into the cylinder of the engine 1 is determined based on the corrected charging efficiency, and an EGR valve 26 is controlled based on the theoretical air feed quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
