PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a nonaqueous pigment dispersion with low viscosity and excellent storage stability, in which a pigment particle in the dispersion is fine, an amount of coarse particle is extremely low. SOLUTION: (1) The manufacturing method for the nonaqueous pigment dispersion has a first step for mixing a pigment composition containing at least the pigment, a polymer dispersing agent and an organic solvent and preliminarily dispersing it, a second step for dispersing/treating the obtained preliminary dispersion using a media type dispersing machine using a media particle having a particle diameter of 0.1 mm or less, and a third step for further performing dispersing/treating using a homogenizer.
