PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of the rewriting work of a routing table even in the case of changing a connection destination bus of a communication node in a data delay device provided among a plurality of multiplex communication lines for transmitting data to relay a plurality of kinds of data. SOLUTION: In a multiplex communication system 1, the data relay device 10 is provided with a routing table 17 in which a data ID is associated with transmission source channel information and with a transmission destination bus to be recorded. The data relay device 10 receives from an optional bus a data frame with the data ID for specifying data frame contents added thereto, attaches transmission source channel information for identifying a bus of a transmission source to the data frame and makes a main buffer 15 holds the data frame. Then, the data relay device 10 specifies the transmission destination bus by referring to the routing table 17 and transmits the data frame held by the main buffer to the bus.
