A system and a method for inputting Hangul in a digital terminal are provided to enable a user to input Hangul with one hand while holding the digital terminal with another hand by placing a first prior combination key close to five basic consonant keys and three basic vowel keys on the center of a 3x4 key matrix, and making the user push eight keys neighboring to the first prior combination key. A consonant key unit arranges ten Hangul basic consonants by dividing ten Hangul basic consonants into five pairs. A vowel key unit arranges six Hangul basic vowels by dividing six Hangul basic vowels into three pairs. A first prior combination key is placed in the shortest distance from five basic consonant keys and three basic vowel keys. A second prior combination key is set to a zero key.
