A light emitting device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent boundary lines from being displayed around a cross-talk region by applying different precharge levels according to the amount of overall current of scan lines. A light emitting device includes plural pixels(E11-E45), a precharge amount controller(218), and a precharging unit(210). The pixels are formed at intersections between data and scan lines. The precharge amount controller transmits a precharge control signal according to the amount of overall current flowing through the scan lines. The precharging unit applies a precharge current corresponding to the amount of overall current flowing through the scan lines to the data lines according to a precharge control signal, which is transferred from the precharge amount controller.
