PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of processing efficiency of a high-speed communication device due to communication between a high-speed communication device and a low-speed communication device. SOLUTION: The image formation device comprises a controller A operated by a CPU 1 and capable of high-speed operation and an image formation engine D operating at a low-speed in comparison with the controller A, transfers a print parameter from the image formation engine D to the controller A. The controller A is provided with an ASIC 3 which carries out communication processing with the image formation engine D to transfer of the print parameter based on instructions from the CPU 1 and notifies the CPU 1 of completion when transfer of the print parameter is completed.
