PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly perform the separation operation of a reacted substance and an unreacted substance with high reaction efficiency and to easily identify the signal from a label substance after reaction. SOLUTION: A color developing substance is bonded to a bead carrier by utilizing the specific bond of the substance to be detected in a sample and a bonding substance for recognizing the substance to be detected and, after the color developing substance bonded to the color developing substance bonded to the bead carrier is separated by sedimenting the bead carrier on the bottom part of a container as a sediment by centrifugal separation, the signal originating from the color developing substance in the sediment observed from the outside of the container is used as an index to detect the substance to be detected.
