<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscope control method and a stroboscope controller by which strobe light emission for reducing a red-eye effect is appropriately controlled even though operation to select or release a strobe light emission mode concerning reduction of a red-eye effect is not performed. <P>SOLUTION: The stroboscope control method includes: a stage to select any of strobe light emission modes including a strobe light emission mode in which the reduction of a red-eye effect is included and a strobe light emission mode in which the reduction of a red-eye effect is not included; a stage to detect person's face from a subject image picked up by an imaging means; and a stage to control strobe light emission in the strobe light emission mode including the reduction of a red-eye effect regardless of the selected strobe light emission mode before making a stroboscope emit light in the selected strobe light emission mode when the person's face is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
