PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a great visual effect without performing troublesome work by illuminating a target color emphatically with a simple structure in a target color emphasizing system for illuminating a target color with emphasis. SOLUTION: The target color emphasizing system 1 includes: a target color detection part 2 for detecting a color of a target object 11; an operation part 3 for obtaining a complementary color of the target color; a control unit 4 for creating a control signal based on the complementary color of the target color; a lighting circuit part 5 where current in accordance with a control signal is conducted; a power supply part 6 connected to the lighting circuit part 5; a surface light emitting part 7 for causing a mounting surface 10 to emit light with a complementary light and illuminating the target object; an ambient light detection part 8 for detecting the color of the ambient light illuminating the target object 11; and an illuminance detection part 9 for detecting illuminance of the target object 11. The surface light emitting part 7 is provided with a mounting table 71 having a mounting surface 10. A color of an illuminating light by the surface light emitting part 7 is corrected in accordance with a detection result of the ambient light detection part 8 and luminance of the illuminating light is adjusted in accordance with the detection result of the color illuminance detection part 9.
