<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic actuator for reducing the sliding resistance of a shaft by using generated magnetic force to give centering effect to the shaft. <P>SOLUTION: On a magnetic attraction part 9 at its opposite portion to a plunger 4, a flux lens means 14 is provided which is formed in a convex (circularly spherical) shape swollen to the side of the plunger 4 for directing the flow of a magnetic flux generated between the plunger 4 and a magnetic attraction part 9, to the axis of a shaft sliding part. When a coil 3 is energized, "an inner-diameter-direction magnetic flux flowγ" is produced to be directed from the plunger 4 to the axis of the shaft sliding part and operates as such centering force that the magnetic attracting force of "the inner-diameter-direction magnetic flux flowγ" centers the shaft 6 to the center of the shaft sliding part. This reduces the sliding resistance of the shaft 6 and improves the performance and reliability of the electromagnetic actuator 1. Since the magnetic flux lens means 14 is part of the magnetic attraction part 9, and so the number of components is not increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
