<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic door driving device, which drives a door while avoiding collision of the door against a closing end or opening end or easing the impact of the collision even if the door is manually moved. <P>SOLUTION: In the automatic door driving device for driving an automatic door changed in moving speed according to application of external force, a suppression speed is formed, as an upper limit value for smoothing changing the moving speed of the automatic value, based on the current position and moving direction of the automatic door. When the actual moving speed of the automatic door exceeds the suppression speed, a suppression torque proportional to the deviation between the suppression speed and the actual moving speed of the automatic door is applied to the automatic door.
