PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous treatment method which produces a treated aluminum alloy sheet having superior material characteristics, surface properties and corrosion resistance, and further shows adequate treatment efficiency. SOLUTION: This continuous treatment method is directed at subjecting an aluminum alloy sheet to serial continuous treatment including heat treatment and surface treatment, and comprises the steps of: cooling a solution-treated aluminum alloy sheet to 40 to 130°C; alkali-etching the cooled aluminum alloy sheet in an etching amount of 10 mg/m<SP>2</SP>or more, by treating the cooled aluminum alloy sheet with an alkaline solution; acid-etching the alkali-etched aluminum alloy sheet in an etching amount of 10 mg/m<SP>2</SP>or more, by treating the alkali-etched aluminum alloy sheet with an acidic solution; and heat-treating the acid-etched aluminum alloy sheet at 50°C or higher.
