PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer instrument with vibration resistant performance enhanced by surely holding a background plate. SOLUTION: This pointer instrument includes the background plate 6, a frame body 5 for supporting the background plate 6 from the opposite side of an observer side, a drive body 3 fixed/disposed on the frame body 5, an pointer 4 coupled to an pointer shaft 31 of the drive body 3 and turning on a surface of the background plate 6 looking on the observer side, and a see-through panel 7 for covering the pointer 4 and the background plate 6 so that they can be seen through while being provided with an index part 71 corresponding to the pointer 4. A holding member 9 is provided on a surface of the background plate 6 looking on the observer side, the holding member 9 used for holding the background plate 6 by sandwiching it between the holding member 9 and the frame body 5.
