Method and device for readjusting a polarisation drift

The method involves feeding optical auxiliary signals with the same wavelength as the polarization coded signal and with different polarizations, corresponding to a two bases, in the light conductor (11) on the side of the transmitter (2). The signals are interrupted during the transmission of the polarization coded signal. The optical auxiliary signals from light conductor are collected on the side of the receiver (3) and are checked by a polarimeter (16) regarding displacement of the different polarizations. An independent claim is also included for a device for readjusting a polarization drift during the transmission of a polarization-code of optical signal of a transmitter over a light conductor to a receiver.
