<p>The present invention relates to a stent that is intended to be introduced into blood vesslels, bile passages, the trachea, the oesophagus or other fluid-carrying body channels, the stent having essentially an elongated and tubular configuration and comprising flexible tube walls that can be radially enlarged. According to the invention, the stent (1) is configured with slits (3) starting from one end (4) and protruding into the tube walls.
