[Also in Divisions F1 and F4] In a room air induction unit in which primary air discharged from one or more nozzles 14 induces a flow of secondary air through one or more heat exchangers, the or each nozzle 14 includes four spaced radial teeth 19 which are stated to reduce the eddies which form between the primary and secondary air flows. Each tooth 19 increases in radial width from its upstream end and terminates at the outlet orifice of the respective nozzle, or extends downstream of the orifice. The nozzles are each one-piece, made of rubber or synthetic plastics material and are of circular or elliptical cross-section. The dimensions of the teeth 19 are described.</p> |
